Explanation of RAV (Recoil Activated Video) function - ThermTec Hunt 650L

The RAV (Recoil Activated Video) feature allows the ThermTec Hunt 650L to automatically record video as soon as a shot is fired. This is done not simply based on sound alone, but through a combination of sound and recoil (acceleration). This greatly reduces unintentional recording.

How exactly does the RAV function work?

The RAV function uses two thresholds that must both be met before a recording starts:

1. Sound Threshold.

   • Detects the sound of the shot.

2. Acceleration Threshold.

   • Detects the physical recoil of the weapon.

👉 O nly when both sound and recoil are detected, RAV recording is activated.

• Default value: 30

• Adjustable range: 0 - 50

• Significance of value:

  • Lower value = higher sensitivity

  • Higher value = less sensitive
