The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 is the flagship model of the new line of thermal scopes with a laser rangefinder from Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, a global leader in the industry. You’re looking at the most powerful model in its premium category, with a detection range of up to 2,800 meters.
At the heart of the thermal sight is a powerful HD infrared sensor with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels, which provides a highly detailed image of objects across the entire range of available distances. This sight is equipped with the most powerful F60/f1.1 germanium lens on the market, featuring a wide magnification range and an improved focusing mechanism.
Its optical capabilities are more than sufficient, not only for any type of night hunting but also for a wide range of military tactical missions. To ensure high shooting accuracy, the riflescope is equipped with a laser rangefinder that works in conjunction with a ballistic calculator and a wide range of reticles.
To adapt the display system to all visibility conditions, a traditional set of 8 color palettes and a proprietary image processor are included. All successful shots can be recorded on video, with all footage captured in high resolution and audio on a built-in 64 GB memory card.
The eyepiece features a modern AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x2560 px, enabling detailed examination of any distant object.
A well-designed power system with two independent sources ensures up to 7 hours of operation. The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 has received nothing but positive reviews from professional shooters and hunters. The sight is fully sealed and performs well under the recoil of powerful sniper rifles.
The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 features a powerful germanium objective lens with a focal length of 60 mm and an aperture of f/1.1. With a base magnification of 2.5x, it can achieve a maximum magnification of 20x using the “Digital Zoom” function, which ranges from 1x to 8x.
A well-designed focusing unit with turrets on both sides ensures comfortable adjustment for both right- and left-handed users. The front lens is made of a material transparent to IR radiation: germanium (32Ge). The horizontal field of view (FOV) angle is 11.7°, which corresponds to a visible field width of 20.5 meters at a distance of 100 meters.
Laser rangefinder
The maximum operating range of the rangefinder on objects with good reflectivity is 800 meters. Users can choose between two operating modes: continuous scanning and single measurement. The receiver and transmitter are located within a single optical channel, and the device is seamlessly integrated into the overall design concept without obstructing the view.
The rangefinder meets the requirements of Laser Safety Class I, operates at a wavelength of 905 nm, and has a measurement error margin of ±1 m.
Ballistic calculator
The integrated ballistic calculator, combined with the laser rangefinder, virtually eliminates the possibility of shooting errors at medium and long ranges. Using precise distance data from the target, the calculator automatically calculates the necessary correction for an accurate shot.
To use this feature effectively, you must create a profile for your shooting system and upload it to the scope’s memory via the Vision Stream Ballistics app. Configuration details can be found in the manual.
Innovative IR Sensor HD 1024x768 px, 12 µm, NETD <35 mK
The scope’s thermal module is based on an advanced HD sensor with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. The large FPA matrix ensures maximum image quality and exceptional detail. The uncooled microbolometer, manufactured using 12-micron technology, has high thermal sensitivity with a NETD <35 mK.
The spectral sensitivity range of 8–14 nm coincides with the Earth’s atmospheric “transparency window,” allowing objects with thermal contrast to be detected even through smoke, fog, or precipitation, both day and night. The 50 Hz refresh rate is optimal for tracking moving targets.
PIP (Picture-in-Picture) function
The “Picture-in-Picture” option displays a small window on the screen showing a magnified section of the central image. The currently selected reticle is also visible in this window. This display makes it easier to identify the target and aim at its vital area. The reduced image size also allows the shooter to maintain a clear view of the surroundings and effectively shoot at moving targets.
AMOLED Display
The rifle scope’s eyepiece features a circular AMOLED display that provides a bright, high-resolution color image with a resolution of 2560x2560 pixels and a refresh rate of 50 Hz. The exit pupil distance is 65 mm. Users can adjust the diopter setting within a range of -3 to +5 diopters, change the brightness, and activate a temporary power-off function.
Color Palettes
The scope offers a selection of eight color schemes that significantly enhance the observation process and allow the device to be adapted to specific tasks and visibility conditions:
* Warm White (White Hot)
* Warm Black (Black Hot)
* Warm Red (Red Hot)
* Rainbow
* Ultramarine
* Red Monochrome
* Sepia
* Violet
The White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot colors are ideal for detecting objects at medium and long ranges in low-visibility conditions. The Rainbow and Ultramarine palettes improve recognition and identification at close range. For extended nighttime observations, red monochrome, sepia, and violet colors are recommended, as they cause less eye strain.
Reticles
The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 offers shooters a set of ten reticles for comfortable use at any range. For short-range shooting, classic hunting reticle patterns such as “dot,” “cross,” and “semi-cross” are ideal. If you need to compensate for bullet drop, tactical options like Mil-Dot are always available. Information on the angle measurements of each reticle can be found in the electronic catalog on the manufacturer’s official website.
Hunters can choose from nine reticle colors, including red, black, green, white, and others.
Video recording with audio, 64 GB of memory
The thermal sight is equipped with a recorder that enables video recording with audio in .mp4 format at a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Multimedia content is stored on the 64 GB internal memory.
Stream Vision 2 app
To use the scope with iOS or Android devices, you must install the official Stream Vision 2 mobile app. Once installed, you’ll have access to data exchange, remote control of the scope, and the ability to perform over-the-air updates. In addition, registered users receive 16 GB of extra cloud storage for multimedia files. The connection is established via Wi-Fi. It’s important to note that the scope’s wireless module supports operation at 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.
Bluetooth Remote Control
Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF scopes come with a Bluetooth remote control. The buttons on the remote control fully replicate the device’s corresponding commands. The remote control can be placed in a convenient location, allowing you to adjust the optical settings without unnecessary movements.
Power System
The advanced B-Pack power system operates using two independent lithium-ion batteries: a removable 3200 mAh APS3 battery and an integrated 4900 mAh APS5 battery. The removable battery is located in the vertical correction tower, and replacing it does not interrupt the scope’s operation, as the device automatically switches to the integrated battery. Battery life can be up to 7 hours. To extend battery life, an external power source can be connected via USB Type-C.
Rugged IPX7 housing
The housing, made of a high-strength aluminum alloy, features the classic design of a daytime scope with a central tube diameter of 30 mm. The fully sealed construction allows the scope to be used in high-humidity conditions and under heavy precipitation. The riflescope easily withstands the recoil of firearms with muzzle energies up to 6,000 joules.
