Classic design. Compact size
Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. Thanks to their small form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars fit comfortably in the hand while still offering an attractive appearance and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are positioned within the comfort access zone, and the most frequently used digital functions can be activated with a single touch.
Comfortable Viewing Experience
The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars takes full account of the nature of human vision. It is natural for humans to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with both eyes is less tiring than viewing with one eye. This results in better detection of small or faint objects and superior performance in low-contrast scenarios compared to comparable monocular thermal imaging devices of the same technical level. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 56 to 71 mm, depending on the individual characteristics of a specific user.
Precise Laser Rangefinder
Knowing the target distance is an essential factor in making the right decisions. With a built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer, you can measure distances in single-shot and continuous scan modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for a quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
High-definition thermal imaging with a 640x480-pixel @ < 25 mK NETD sensor
A highly sensitive sensor with < 25 mK NETD detects minimal temperature differences when observing in conditions with low temperature contrast, as well as in rain or fog. The resolution of 640x480 pixels ensures reliable target identification, high-quality visualization of key anatomical features of the animal, and minute details of the surrounding landscape.
Fast F50/1.0 germanium lens
The characteristics of the thermal imaging optics have a decisive influence on a thermal imaging camera’s ability to detect even the lowest levels of radiation. Ultimate detection efficiency is achieved with the fast lens of the Merger LRF (F50/1.0) thermal imaging camera in combination with the highly sensitive thermal sensor. The Merger LRF consistently provides users with the highest-quality, most detailed, and high-contrast images, even in rain or fog, when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal.
Latest image processing algorithms
The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are equipped with advanced image processing algorithms that prove their effectiveness under various weather conditions and device operation scenarios. With the Merger LRF eyepieces, the user experiences a new level of clear, noise-free imaging, with greater object detail and improved contrast.
Two independent batteries. Up to 10 hours of continuous operation
The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees up to 10 hours of battery life. The raised markings on the removable battery’s casing, designed to ensure precise positioning, allow you to quickly and confidently replace a depleted battery with a new one by touch, even in complete darkness.
Wide Detection Range
A powerful long-range objective lens, combined with a 640x480@17µm high-sensitivity thermal imaging sensor, offers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object 1.8 m tall can be detected in complete darkness at a distance of up to 1,800 m.
2.5x–20x variable magnification
Digital zoom, up to 8x, provides better focus and improved overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom can be adjusted either gradually in 2x increments or continuously to provide a truly optimal, customized field of view for specific situations.
High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing
The Merger LRF is designed for constant, often heavy-duty use. A magnesium alloy housing is both lightweight and strong. The housing reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging camera against shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively dissipates heat from the electronics and enhances the device’s operational consistency during prolonged observation.
Built-in Photo and Video Recorder
The Merger LRF has a built-in video recorder. The Merger LRF’s internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A single press of a button is all it takes to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording video. The footage is transferred to a computer’s hard drive via a USB-C port. Merger LRF owners have 16 GB of free storage space in Pulsar cloud storage for photos and videos captured with the device. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in, and connect the device to a smartphone via Wi-Fi.
Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices
The built-in Wi-Fi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a wide range of possibilities, including wireless updates to the device’s software, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, sharing photos and videos captured by the device on social media or via messaging apps, remote control of digital device functions, and access to the latest news from Pulsar. In addition, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.
Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with support for the 2.4/5 GHz frequency bands
In Merger LRF thermal imaging cameras, the standard frequency range for smartphone connections via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is supplemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the thermal imaging camera with a smartphone.
High-Contrast HD AMOLED Displays
The Merger’s HD AMOLED displays offer a bright, high-contrast, and vividly colored field of view. AMOLED technology ensures a smooth, fluid image with high resolution and low power consumption.
IPX7 Waterproof
IPX7 waterproof rating for protection against heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation. The device is designed to function flawlessly even after being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Wide operating temperature range (-25 to +50°C)
The Merger LRF’s housing, power supply, optics, and electronics are designed for use across a wide temperature range. Merger guarantees reliable and effective performance in freezing temperatures down to -25°C.
A choice of 8 color palettes
With a choice of 8 color palettes, users can observe their field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimize the device for specific tasks and adapt to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are ideal for object detection, while Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the likelihood of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are best suited for extended nighttime observation.
