The Symbion LRF DXR50 is an innovative multispectral binocular that combines thermal imaging technology and digital day and night vision in a single device and offers enhanced detection, recognition and identification capabilities. The Symbion LRF DXR50 produces highly detailed images in various wavelengths (visible light, near-infrared and long-wave infrared), making it an extremely versatile observation tool for any time of day and in any weather conditions.
The Symbion combines the advantages of both technologies: fast object detection thanks to the highly sensitive thermal imaging channel, better terrain assessment through the digital night vision channel, and accurate identification of even the smallest features and details of an object in the combined picture-in-picture mode of both channels.
Highly sensitive thermal sensor
The extremely sensitive thermal image sensor of 640 × 480 pixels @ 12 µm with a system NETD of <18 mK delivers impressive image quality and perfect detail recognition. This is true even under very adverse weather conditions when thermal contrast is low. Even the smallest temperature differences become clearly visible in rain, fog or cold mornings - conditions that are normally most challenging for thermal imaging cameras.
4K night vision
The image generated by the Symbion LRF DXR50's digital night vision channel is distinguished by its 4K resolution and high-quality detail reproduction. Silhouettes, anatomical differences and behavioral features are clearly displayed. The high-resolution electronics display an animal's trophy characteristics and provide the hunter with the information needed to make a responsible shooting decision.
Accurate laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1,500 m
Correct estimation of distance to target is essential for making correct decisions. The built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1.5 kilometers enables distance measurements in both single and continuous measurement mode, with an accuracy of ± 1 meter.
Image stabilization
The optionally switchable image stabilizer ensures flicker-free and less fatiguing observing, even at high magnifications. This facilitates tracking of distant objects. Motion blur is eliminated and switching between target objects and tracking fast-moving animals becomes easier, so they do not disappear from the field of view.
IR emitter
The Symbion features an integrated, invisible 850 nm IR emitter with adjustable focus. This preserves the detail of the digital channel even during pitch-dark nights.
User mode
Use brightness and contrast settings to maximize image detail and information value under specific observation conditions. The "User Mode" function allows the selected settings to be stored in the device's memory so that optimum image quality is immediately available during subsequent use without additional adjustments.
Advanced Pulsar Image Boost technology.
Pulsar Image Boost gives the Symbion an exceptional level of detail, clarity and contrast thanks to innovative image processing algorithms. The multispectral binocular image shows complex scenes in a wide range of gray tones with evenly lit low-contrast objects such as sky, grass and water surfaces. Software-based detail enhancement and sharpening of objects at different distances make the thermal image highly informative. Manual sensor sensitivity enhancement improves animal recognition in deteriorating conditions. A smoothness filter and extensive brightness and contrast settings ensure comfortable long-term observation.
Bright F50/1.0 thermal imaging lens
The Symbion LRF series' bright lens, combined with the highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor, ensures maximum detection efficiency. The device always delivers sharp, detailed and high-contrast images, even in rain or fog when temperature contrast is minimal.
9 color palettes
With a choice of 9 color palettes, users can optimize the image for specific tasks and changing conditions. Available palettes are:
White-Hot, Black-Hot, Red-Hot, Rainbow, Red Monochrome, Sepia, Green, and Violet.
Contrasting HD-AMOLED displays.
The two 1920 × 1080 px HD-AMOLED displays deliver sharp, high-contrast and colorful images.
Thermal image detection up to 2,300 m
A major advantage of thermal imaging technology is early detection of animals both day and night. With its high-quality long-range optics and sensitive sensor, the Symbion DXR50 LRF can detect an object 1.8 meters high up to 2,300 meters away in complete darkness.
Comfortable observing
The optical design takes full account of how human vision works. Looking with two eyes is less tiring than with one eye and improves the detection of small or faint objects, especially in low-contrast situations. The eye relief is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm for optimal user adaptation.
Classic binocular design, optimized for one-handed operation
The Symbion has the classic design of daylight binoculars with a compact size and excellent ergonomics. The 7 function buttons are easily accessible and frequently used functions are activated with one touch. The controls can be adjusted for left- or right-handed use. A centrally located menu button facilitates navigation and digital zooming.
Photo and video recorder
The Symbion features a built-in photo and video recorder. The internal 64 GB memory stores hours of video footage with sound and tens of thousands of photos. A single button press takes a photo or starts a video recording.
Distance sensor for unobtrusive use
For discreet observation in the dark, the "Screen Off" function prevents light leakage. In addition, a built-in distance sensor automatically turns screens off when the device is removed from the eyes and back on when picked up.
Ergonomic and functional carrying case
The carrying case is stylish, comfortable and practical. The device is quickly accessible and the weight is evenly distributed over the body, relieving shoulders, back and neck. The bag fits closely without restricting freedom of movement.
Stream Vision 2 - Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices.
Integrated Wi-Fi connects the Symbion to smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 app. Capabilities include wireless software updates, live image viewing, photo and video sharing, remote control and access to Pulsar news. Registered users get free cloud storage.
Support for 2.4 / 5 GHz Wi-Fi
In addition to 2.4 GHz, the Symbion also supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi, providing higher data rates, better stability and less interference.
Robust magnesium alloy housing
The lightweight but strong magnesium housing protects the unit from shock, drop, moisture and extreme temperatures and provides efficient heat dissipation during prolonged use.
Waterproof according to IP67
Waterproof and dustproof according to IP67. The device remains fully functional after immersion to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.
Operation at extreme temperatures
Designed for a wide temperature range, the Symbion functions reliably from -25 °C to +50 °C.
