Description

Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50 Thermal Binocular

The Pulsar Merger DUO NXP50 is Pulsar's first innovative multispectral binoculars that feature both thermal imaging and digital night vision. Thanks to its 640×480 sensor with 17 um and 1920×1200 digital CMOS sensor, you will have razor-sharp images both at night and during the day. This viewer has a range of about 1800m (in thermal imaging mode).

Range Pulsar Merger DUO NXP50

You can use the Pulsar to observe a heat source up to about 1800 meters. All thanks to its 640×480 resolution and its F50/1.0 lens. If you look over 1000 meters then a heat source of 1.8 meters (or a person) can be observed, identifying at this distance is not possible. The scope has 3-24x magnification with thermal imaging and 2-16x with digital imaging. Remember; the more magnification, the less sharp the image. Thanks to the 50Hz refresh rate, you have smooth images if you want to explore your surroundings quickly.

Combined viewing modes

The Pulsar Merger DUO NXP50 features both thermal imaging and digital night vision. The thermal imaging option is used for detecting and observing under many different weather conditions. The digital night vision mode is often used to target wildlife even better. When viewing with the PIP (Picture in Picture) function, you can use both imaging technologies at the same time.

Comfortable viewing experience

The Pulsar Merger DUO NXP50 offers you a very comfortable viewing experience with both eyes. The optical design of the Merger binoculars takes into account the nature of human vision. It is normal for a person to receive visual information simultaneously through two visual channels. Therefore, viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one eye. All this results in better detection of small or faint heat sources. The eye relief of this Merger is adjustable from 62mm to 74mm.

IR Lamp

The Pulsar Merger DUO NXP50 comes with an attachable, invisible 940nm IR lamp which is adjustable. Thanks to this IR lamp, you can see the right details even in the dark.

Image Boost Technology

Thanks to this technology, the Pulsar Merger allows you to see even more contrast differences in the image. Image boost provides a sharper and more detailed image, a better field of view and improved object identification capabilities. Please note that you still need to enable this function yourself in the menu. You get to this menu by pressing the menu button a little longer.

Picture in Picture function

This feature allows you to better monitor your surroundings, allowing you to observe details even better. With Picture in Picture, you get a small screen at the top of your screen that you can zoom into and the big screen won't change.

Color

The Pulsar Merger features 8 different color palettes. These different colors allow you to still explore your surroundings in many different conditions. The standard colors White hot and Hot Black are the most commonly used. Of which the Hot Black is mostly used at night.

The Red color makes you less likely to become "night blind." The color sepia often improves perception at longer distances while Red Hot, Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the temperature differences of different objects. Violet is often used to identify objects faster.

But in the end, you set the Pulsar Merger right once, so that it's set perfectly for you and then these settings usually stay in there forever, at least that's been our experience.

Photo and video function

The Pulsar Merger DUO NXP50 has a built-in memory. Because there is a built-in memory on these thermal imaging binoculars, you can film or take pictures with them. So if you don't want to miss anything, or if you want to record your shot then this is definitely for you. You can watch these images back later on your phone or computer. If you want to do this on your phone, you can use the stream vision app. Want to watch it back on your computer? Then use the included USB cable.

This feature is super easy to operate, as all you have to do is press the REC button. When you do this, REC will appear in the top left corner of the display. Once this is the case, the time starts running and you are recording.

Battery Life

This Merger LRF features an internal battery and an external battery. These 2 batteries together provide about 10 hours of viewing pleasure. You can easily charge both batteries with the included USB cable.

Wifi

The Pulsar Merger features a Wi-Fi function that allows you to connect these thermal imaging binoculars to your phone. So you can review your captured photos or videos or share them with your friends or family. Do you want to look back at the photos or videos you took? Then you first need to download the Stream Vision 2 app and then pair your Pulsar Merger with it.

Ease of use

The weight of the Pulsar Merger is 1200 grams. So you can easily take these binoculars with you in your backpack, for example. A big advantage of this Pulsar Merger is that it comes with a carrying strap, so you won't drop it so easily. This viewer is completely waterproof thanks to its IPX7 rating, this applies to both rain and snow. You can even use the viewer up to 1 meter under water for up to 30 minutes. The Merger can be used in temperatures from -25 to +/- +50 degrees Celsius.
