Target
Cover ring adapters are special mounting units that allow the installation of digital and/or thermal imaging attachments in front of the objectives of daytime optical devices (rifle scopes, spotting scopes and binoculars). Adapters are supplied with a set of insertion rings (the choice of insertion ring is determined by the outer diameter of the lens housing of the optical device). After installation, the adapter remains constant on the lens of the optical device, allowing the thermal or digital attachment to be quickly installed in front of the lens. During the day when the attachment is not in use, the adapter serves as a holder for the protective cap (included in the package), which protects the lens of the daytime optic.
Easy mounting
Adapter design requires no use of special tool (dynamometric wrench) during installation of adapter on the housing of day optics, all operations can be performed with hexagonal wrenches provided in the package. Adapter is fixed by pressing the fastening clip. The rotation of the mounting clip is in a horizontal plane (parallel to the optical axis of the scope and the mount), thanks to the fact that the rotation of the adapter on the scope is eliminated after the final adjustment and alignment. There is a constructive possibility of mounting the adapter in the "mounting clip right" and "mounting clip left" positions.
Metal casing
The design of the cover ring adapters includes a wide range of parts made of different metals. The housing is made of aluminum alloy using the milling method and is characterized by high strength and low weight. Screws, spring, mounting clip and pins are made of steel.
Place rings
To install the adapter on the housing of the day-option device (spotting scope, binoculars or rifle scope), it is necessary to use one of the insertion rings included in the adapter package. The rings are made of plastic, which ensures safe contact with the optical device, as well as high reliability of adapter installation (sturdiness, evenness of placement).
Insensitivity to temperature changes
Temperature changes do not affect the proper work of the adapter (e.g. .: adapter installed in the room can be used with confidence in the conditions of great frost without any installation corrections).
Service Durability
The adapter is designed for long-term use, even when used on optical rifle scopes installed on large-caliber weapons. High operating qualities mean that the adapters can be used at temperatures higher than those allowed for digital and thermal mounts, durability and overall reliability of individual adapter components.
