Practical Tips for Setting Up

Don’t place the six decoys right next to each other; instead, spread them out with some space between them across the feeding area. Place the three foraging decoys in the active part of the decoy stand. The resting geese can be placed slightly closer together, while the alert goose looks best on the outer edge of the group.

Also, pay attention to the wind direction. Geese normally land into the wind. Therefore, keep an open landing zone clear and position the decoys so that approaching geese are guided toward this area.
