The AGM Sioux940 is an 800mW strong LED infrared emitter with an invisible 940nm wavelength. It is indispensable in situations where there is little to no residual light. The Sioux940 is suitable for any night (directional) viewer with Weaver/Picatinny (side) rail, but you can also use the device handheld. You will receive an IR mount, rechargeable 18650 battery and battery charger as standard with this product.
This 940nm IR emitter provides:
• Allows you to see even when there is absolutely no ambient light
• an invisible infrared glow for humans and animals
• Significant increase in viewing range up to 600 meters
• Increased accuracy in identifying objects
• Much better recognition of the smallest details
The infrared beam has a wavelength of 940nm, the main advantage of which is that the infrared glow is invisible to humans and animals. You can adjust the power (0-100%) and the infrared beam (4 to 35 degrees) yourself. This therefore allows you to "illuminate" a larger or smaller area of the environment.
Using the included adapter, you can easily attach the IR Illuminator to any Weaver/Picatinny (side) rail. The device is powered by the included rechargeable 18650 battery. You also receive a charger for charging the battery and a carrying case for safe transportation.
This infrared emitter is extremely suitable when you want to be able to see with your night vision goggles/night vision goggles even when there is little or no ambient light present. With this 940nm IR, both the infrared beam and the infrared glow are completely invisible to humans and animals. Moreover, you increase the viewing distance up to 600 meters. An IR Illuminator is widely applicable, for example tactical applications. But it is also an indispensable accessory for hunters, survival or general nature observations. The human eye cannot detect the IR light, but through night vision goggles you can still see the "illuminated" area.
When comparing infrared emitters with different wavelengths, you can basically use the following rule of thumb:
• Wavelength 940 nm: The infrared glow is invisible. However, in terms of power and viewing distance, it is less effective than 850 nm IR
• Wavelength 850 nm: Maximum power for maximum viewing distance. The red glow is visible at close range
• Power: 800 mW
• Wavelength: 940 nm
• Beam angle: Adjustable from 4 to 35 degrees
• IR type: LED
• Power supply: 1x 18650 battery (included)
• Approximate runtime: 10 hours (1/4 power) / 2.5 hours (continuous full power)
• Weight: 225 grams
• Dimensions: 153 x 48 x 48 mm
