The AGM Sioux850 is a powerful LED infrared emitter with an 850nm wavelength and as much as 1,000mW of power. It is indispensable in situations where there is little to no residual light. The Sioux850 is suitable for any night (directional) viewer with Weaver/Picatinny (side) rail, but you can also use the device handheld. You will receive an IR mount, rechargeable 18650 battery and battery charger as standard with this product.
This infrared radiator provides:
• Allows you to see even when there is absolutely no ambient light
• Maximizes viewing distance with an IR range of up to 1 kilometer
• Increased accuracy in identifying objects
• Much better recognition of the smallest details
The infrared beam has a wavelength of 850nm, which is the most common for night vision applications. With an 850nm IR, you have the greatest range, but it does produce a red glow in which the IR source is viewed at close range. The IR beam itself is invisible to the naked eye. You can adjust the power (0-100%) and the infrared beam (4 to 35 degrees). This therefore allows you to "illuminate" a larger or smaller area of the environment.
Using the included adapter, you can easily attach the IR Illuminator to any Weaver/Picatinny (side) rail. The device is powered by the included rechargeable 18650 battery. You also receive a charger for charging the battery and a carrying case for safe transportation.
This infrared emitter is extremely suitable when you want to be able to see with your night vision goggles/night scope even when there is little or no ambient light present. With this 850nm IR you maximize the viewing distance and it does not matter to you that the red IR glow is visible at close range. This infrared emitter is widely applicable, for example tactical applications. But also for hunters, survival or general nature observations this is an indispensable accessory. The human eye cannot detect the IR light, but through night vision goggles you can still see the "illuminated" area.
When comparing infrared emitters with different wavelengths, you can basically use the following rule of thumb:
• Wavelength 850 nm: Maximum power for maximum viewing range. The red glow is visible at close range, however
• Wavelength 940 nm: The infrared glow is invisible. However, this results in a loss of approximately 25–30% in power and viewing distance compared to 850 nm
• Power: 1,000 mW
• Wavelength: 850 nm
• Beam angle: adjustable from 4 to 35 degrees
• IR type: LED
• Power supply: 1x 18650 battery (included)
• Approximate runtime: 10 hours (at 1/4 power) / 2.5 hours (continuous full power)
• Weight: 225 grams
• Dimensions: 153 x 48 x 48 mm
