The ASP-Micro TM160 from US-based AGM Global Vision is the perfect entry-level thermal imaging camera. With a 160x120 resolution, full-color display, digital zoom up to 4x and an operating time of up to 7 hours, the thermal camera offers everything you need. This makes the ASP-Micro an ideal detection tool for numerous applications. Because of its light weight and compact size, it is a pocket-sized thermal camera.
Internal Specifications
The camera is equipped with a 160x120 detector and has a 50 Hz refresh rate (real-time image). The image is projected onto a full-color display (720x540 pixels). The optical magnification of the viewer is 1x, but with a digital zoom, you can further magnify the image up to a maximum of 4x.
Thermal Imaging Range
The thermal camera can detect vehicles at a distance of up to 559 meters and people at a distance of up to 182 meters. This is the distance at which you can see “something” and should not be confused with the identification distance (at the identification distance, you can, for example, determine whether the person you see is a man or a woman). The camera’s horizontal field of view is 15.6 degrees (at 1x zoom). The fixed focus eliminates the need for continuous manual focusing.
Useful Features
You can customize the display of your surroundings using four color palettes: White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, and Fusion. The thermal imaging camera also features a “Hot Track” function that allows you to “highlight” animals or people directly with the cursor. You can also measure the approximate distance to people, objects, or animals using the “Distance Measurement” function. You can adjust the brightness and contrast both automatically and manually (five levels).
Record and Share
With the thermal imaging camera, you can record videos and take photos to your heart’s content. Your recordings are automatically saved to the internal 8GB memory. Using a Wi-Fi connection or the included USB-C cable, you can easily transfer your recordings to your smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.
Stream Images to Your Smartphone or Tablet
Just like with high-end thermal imaging cameras, the ASP-Micro lets you live-stream images (via Wi-Fi) to your smartphone or tablet and adjust the camera’s settings remotely. You can do this using the free T-Vision app (for iOS and Android).
Physical Specifications
Since the device is IP67-certified , you can take it anywhere without worry. This means the thermal imaging camera is water- and dust-resistant and can withstand a drop of 1.5 meters onto concrete. You can use the camera without any problems even in very cold temperatures (-20°C) and extreme heat (up to +55°C). The internal Li-ion battery ensures that you can use the device for up to 7 hours. The camera also has a standby mode.
